President Donald Trump signed an executive order re-establishing the National Space Council. It is a space advisory and steering body that was not active for over 20 years.
The Council’s role is to review the national space policy, develop a national space strategy, and make recommendations to the President. It is believed that the Council may have an influence on the future of the U.S. space programme under President Trump.
